If you haven't already heard of  OY-L NATURAL SKINCARE, get ready, cause you're about to. Andrea Pierce-Naymon, spent over two decades as a retail fashion buyer before setting out to launch the skincare company you've been looking for. Like many great brands, OY-L was born from necessity. When Andrea's daughter got sick, Andrea became consumed with researching everything she and her daughter were putting into their bodies. It wasn't long before she discovered that most of the products we use on a daily basis are toxic.

Unwilling to settle for a world in which skin care does more harm than good, she set out to create an all natural skin care line on a mission to provide beauty without secrets and so far, she's doing just that. She'd created an entire line of zero-chemical skincare sold exclusively in glass bottles so every piece is sustainable for you and for the environment.

You can read our q&a with Andrea here but today we're going to chat about three of our favorite pieces from the OY-L Natural collection.

The cleansing powder.

First things first, every single product I've tried from OY-L smells outrageously good. This guy in particular has sweet-orange essential oil paired with rose flower oil and it's even better than it sounds. Now that that's out of the way, I have to confess that I've never tried a cleansing powder before. The cool thing about the cleansing powder is that you can combine it with your face wash or just mix it with water and because it's not a liquid itself, it's completely travel-friendly. I tried it with water and, though it does not lather, it does act as an incredible soft exfoliant that leaves your skin feeling crazy clean and fresh. It left my skin feeling tight, almost like I'd just done a clay mask - which makes sense since white kaolin clay is the second ingredient. This makes me suspect this guy would be great for acne prone skin, so I'll definitely be keeping this in my routine.

The bath salts.

If there are two things I cannot live without, it's long soaks in hot baths and citrus. So, you can imagine my delight in getting to try out the Tiare Lime Bath Salts. I have never, in my entire life, taken such a delicious smelling, muscle relaxing, skin revitalizing bath. All four scent options include salt mined from ancient sea beds, completely untainted by modern sea toxins, and are a rich source of 84 trace minerals. As if that wasn't enough, they added in the most relaxing aromatics (helllllllllo, Tiare lime). Good for the skin and the spirit, sign me up.

The face wash.

Last but certainly not least, we have the face wash. Lime meets lavender meets manuka honey in this bad boy, and it is everything you've been looking for in a face wash. Manuka honey is one of the ultimate secrets to natural skincare - we're talking anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial healing, but this OY-L formula takes it to the next level. It lathers ever so slightly leaving you the cleanest feeling skin ever. Warning: It's a try-it-once-and-get-addicted kinda product.
