Meet Chrissy. She's the Founder and CEO of LEVO,  the first premium kitchen appliance for infusing herbs in butter or oil at home. According to Chrissy, she stays sharp and hyper efficient by embracing her inborn productive paranoia. She thrives off the feeling of productivity and loves materializing an idea in her head (AKA bringing LEVO to life!). She is a proud NYU Stern alum who loves to travel, try new foods, pet dogs (and any other animal who will allow it!), the occasional adrenaline rush, being goofy with close friends and family, and discovering new paths to wellness.

Why do you do what you do?

I love creating something that adds real value to peoples' lives and also setting a new precedent for the way work is done! After years in a corporate job, I love inviting my heart and soul to play a real role in my work. I work with incredible people who are family to me, and we collectively choose to do business with other great people. We believe this is key to delivering a great product that changes peoples' lives because we stay true to our mission and work more efficiently than more bureaucratic organizations!

What is one thing you hope never changes?

I hope that people never stop making spontaneous, authentic, in-person interactions. I worry about a world where the internet and various gadgets become all-consuming, versus being used as a valuable tool in a controlled way. We need to stay present! Call me old fashioned. Some friends say I live under a rock.

When do you feel most alive?

I feel most alive when I accomplish a long term goal! I am a dreamer; mentally already somewhere far in the future. When a long awaited plan comes together or goal is achieved, I am elated.

What are you really good at, but kind of embarrassed that you're so good at it?

Speaking Gibberish! I hold a world record...

What's the hardest lesson you've had to learn?

Slow down. Be patient. Surrender to the flow. I front loaded my mistakes with LEVO, for sure. When I first had the light bulb moment, I rushed to shout it from the rooftops and burn through some contacts from my college network that would have been much better utilized once I had more thoughtful plans together. I also pushed people around me to take an interest and work on it. I have since learned that you can't force anything and natural pull from the market is the best way to pick up steam. If it's not feeling organic, in work and life, I have learned to slow down and take a step back before pressing on.

What's the title of the current chapter of your life?

The Storm Before the Calm
