Have you met Meryl? Meryl Marshall is the co-founder of Hynt Beauty, an organic based, vegan, luxury cosmetic line. She's a breast cancer survivor who is setting an example by embracing better lifestyle choices.

Why do you do what you do?

I am a true entrepreneur. I have the passion to create and to help others. I have a strong work ethic and truly enjoy the cosmetics business. Hynt Beauty has experienced incredible growth this year and while it has brought on new challenges, it's very exciting and I feel grateful for every bit of it.

What is one thing you hope never changes?

The one thing that I hope that never changes is the trend towards more people demanding natural products that do not contain potentially dangerous chemicals.

When do you feel most alive?

I feel most alive when I travel all over the world to different accounts and events and meet people that express love for my products. It is so thrilling and rewarding. It makes all of the hard work and long hours worth it.

What are you really good at, but kind of embarrassed that you're so good at it?

I used to be a shy person. During my first career in the diamond and jewelry business, I was not very assertive. I learned a lot by osmosis by watching and listening to others. Now I am the opposite-quite outgoing, which has been quite beneficial in growing Hynt Beauty. I can now be a speaker at events, give Master Classes at my accounts. I enjoy working with Influencers. It's all about the relationships that I cultivate and maintain.

What's the hardest lesson you've had to learn?

My business partner is my husband Craig. We are equally dedicated and invested in making our business grow. In the past, we had another business partner that did not have the same drive and made horrible business decisions. This was a hard lesson to learn as I was hoping that things would improve, but they steadily got worse. The relationship was toxic and disappointing. It went on way too long. Once we were free of that business partner, we had the freedom and experience to make better business decisions.
